Modi meets Putin at Hyderabad House, strengthening ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin shared views at Hyderabad House, New Delhi. Both the leaders affirmed about the relationship between both the nations. India and Russia began their first ‘2 + 2’ dialogue to develop old ties between the two nations.

Both the leaders of respective countries firmly said that the coronavirus would not end the relationship between two countries’ and the relation will kept intact between the two nations.

“Despite the challenges posed by COVID, there is no change in the speed of India-Russia relations. Our special and lucky partnership continues to be strong, ”said PM Modi.

“Over the past few decades, the world has seen many important changes and different forms of national statistics, but India-Russia friendships have not changed. The relationship between India and Russia is a unique and reliable model of international friendship,” he added.

Putin also said that India is a time-tested alliance and a world power and that both countries are looking forward to a united future. “We see India as a great power, a friendly nation, and a longtime friend. Relations between our nations are growing and I look to the future, ”Putin said.

Putin, speaking to the media in New Delhi, said both nations would continue to work together to promote growth in areas such as the energy sector, innovation, space, and the efficient production of coronavirus vaccines and drugs.

Earlier, India and Russia signed an agreement to purchase more than 600,000 AK-203 rifles with Indo-Russia Rifles Pvt Ltd, under a 2021-31 military cooperation and technology program. It also revived military and technology cooperation for another 10 years in the process.

Putin meets Prime Minister Modi for the second time after their 2019 address on the sidelines of the BRICS summit. This is Putin’s second trip abroad following the Covid-19 epidemic. He met with US President Joe Biden in Geneva in June.

Therefore, the rising friendliness among the two nations is good sign of progress, not only for India but also for Russia and whole world. Indo-Russian are getting better day by day amid India’s strong friendship with Russian rival USA.

The establishment of relationship and strong ties between the super powers of the world is good sign for the development and eradication terror from world. Both nations are pledged to serve for the betterment and establishing peace among the whole world.
