India, Israel to explore new trade and investment avenues in February 11 meeting

India and Israel are set to enhance their economic and trade engagement through the India-Israel Business Forum and the India-Israel CEO Forum, both scheduled for February 11 in New Delhi. These platforms will bring together key business leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders from both nations to explore opportunities for collaboration in trade, investment, and technology.

The event will feature an inaugural session followed by panel discussions and business-to-business (B2B) meetings, facilitating engagement between Indian and Israeli business leaders. Government officials from both countries will also participate, focusing on sectoral growth and innovation-driven partnerships.

Additionally, the India-Israel CEO Forum, hosted by FICCI, will provide a platform for senior executives and policymakers to explore investment opportunities, policy frameworks, and emerging business trends. Discussions will focus on technology collaboration, R&D, trade diversification, and innovation, with key areas including AI, smart manufacturing, cybersecurity, clean energy, healthcare, and precision agriculture.

India and Israel share a strong foundation in technology and innovation, making them natural economic allies. With India emerging as a global hub for manufacturing and technology, and Israel’s expertise in high-tech industries, both forums will play a crucial role in strengthening business-to-business (B2B) and government-to-business (G2B) ties.

Bilateral trade between India and Israel has steadily grown, expanding beyond traditional sectors like diamonds and precious metals to include engineering goods, chemicals, electronics, defense, and agricultural products. Israeli investments in India have increased across renewable energy, water technology, defense, and manufacturing, while Indian companies have made significant inroads into Israel in pharmaceuticals, IT, and infrastructure.

Both forums align with the long-term vision of deepening economic ties between India and Israel, fostering investment, technology transfer, and trade.
