President Putin’s Visit to India: Today, India and Russia will hold their first ‘2 + 2’ dialogue in the country’s capital, where they will discuss key issues in order to further strengthen bilateral relations and likely to sign almost 10 Bilateral Agreements.
The newly established 2 + 2 negotiations between India and Russia will hold its first summit at the defense and foreign ministry level.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet to discuss security, trade and investment, energy and technology.
A comprehensive joint statement will be released following a meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia’s ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev said on Saturday.
India, Russia is set to launch an AK-203 rifle deal
Under the ‘Make in India’ program, India and Russia are expected to sign an agreement to produce 7.5 lakh AK-203 Indian Army guns.
Most attractive will be the AK-203 rifle charter.
The AK-203, manufactured in Russia, will be manufactured at a new plant in Uttar Pradesh, India.
Details of the agreement have been reached in terms of price, pricing, and production method.
Within a decade, 60 14,427 AK-203 rifles will be produced for use in India.
Journey and agenda
Prime Minister Modi and President Putin will begin their summit talks at 5:30 p.m., according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA), and the Russian leader will leave Delhi at 9:30 p.m.
The day will begin with a meeting between Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoygu, as part of the India-Russia United Nations Commission on Military Cooperation and Technology.
Separately, S Jaishankar, India’s foreign minister, will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
At 11:30 p.m., the foreign and defense ministers of both countries will hold a “2 + 2” discussion.
Ahead of the 21st India-Russia Summit, Prime Minister Modi and President Putin will meet face-to-face.
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s party will also be held.
