Mum watched in terror as baby monitor camera showed an intruder in her bed

A MUM has told how she watched in terror as CCTV footage from her home showed an intruder in her bed.

Caitlin Sullivan, 22, was “horrified” as a camera she’d installed as a baby monitor alerted her to the stranger under the duvet.

Luckily she was out with her one-year-old at the time when it happened[/caption]

Fortunately, she and her one-year-old son Kevin, who usually share the bed, were in a friend’s house at the time.

The part-time carer, from Sauchie, Clackmannanshire, said: “The camera is linked to my phone and lets me know if there is any movement.

“So when it buzzed, I looked at the live feed from my home and saw this man’s feet poking out the end of my bed.

“My heart just about stopped.

“I had locked all my doors before leaving but there he was sleeping in my bed.”

Caitlin called the cops then raced home to see them take the dishevelled man away.

She said: “His forehead was dripping with blood.

“Inside was like a crime scene, with bloodstains on the carpet, the radiators and bannister.

“It was terrifying.”

In the living room, Caitlin found a screwdriver that she reckons the man had used to break in through a window.

But she was sickened when cops didn’t take action against him.

And is now too scared to return to the semi-detached pad, so is bunking with pals.

Caitlin said: “I feel so unsafe and incredibly let down.”

A police spokesman said: “No criminality was established.”

She later found the screw driver that the man left behind
