Imran to face No confidence motion on 9th April said Pak SC

Imran Khan to face no-confidence motion on coming Saturday that is on 9th April. SC directed to conduct the no-confidence motion against PTI on the said date at 10 am.

Pakistan apex court quashed the decision of dissolving the parliament and guided the party in power to cooperate. The Pak SC further ordered to restore the assembly.

Opposition groups called for a boycott of the assembly by President Arif Alvi at the behest of Imran Khan. The move comes after Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri on April 3 dismissed a motion of no confidence in Imran Khan, a decision the chief judge called a mistake earlier in the day. At a meeting with 342 members, the opposition said it supported 177 members compared to a maximum of 172.

This is after key PTI allies of the Balochistan Awami Party and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) crossed into the opposition. Imran Khan suspects the US has been involved in a no-confidence motion against his government. He even named the US ambassador to the United States Donald Lu, accusing him of plotting to overthrow his government. In the history of Pakistani politics no prime minister has completed five years. The country has been ruled by Pakistan’s most powerful military force for more than three decades.
