Apple poised to launch low-cost iPhone, iPad this march reports Bloomberg

Apple is likely to launch new products soon on March 8, according to a report from Bloomberg.

The report says that Apple is preparing to announce the newest iPhone 5 iPad and iPad at the event and possibly a new Mac.

The launch will be Apple’s first since October 2021, when it unveiled the new MacBook Pro laptops. It is expected to be the launch of a live streaming broadcast, according to Bloomberg. Apple has held significant events since the launch of the Covid-19 epidemic in March 2020.

Apple is currently offering a cheaper iPhone called the iPhone SE, launched in the spring of 2020, and selling for $ 399. It is the latest iPhone model with Apple ID fingerprint sensor. The updated model may have the same design but faster processor and 5G support, according to the report.

The new iPad is expected to be an updated version of the iPad Air, according to the report. That device was last updated in October 2020 and is currently on sale for $ 599.

The Apple iPad business was the only major product line to report sales in the December quarter. Apple said the decline in sales of the $ 329 iPad targeted at schools and consumer volume is the main reason for the decline in business.

The launch of Apple’s cheap device is less important for the company than its standard fall launch, featuring high-end iPhone models and hugely high-end pre-holiday holiday shopping.

Apple may be delaying the launch event with the official release of iOS 15.4, the latest version of the iPhone software.

IOS 15.4 is currently in beta testing. It is expected to feature a few new features, including the ability to use facial expressions to unlock the device while wearing a mask, and new emoji.

An Apple spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
