April 1 – The governor of Ukraine’s central bank has called on major European banks, the United States, Japan, and Britain to ban the Russian and Belarusian ruble transaction amid the Russian war in Ukraine.
“The ban on payments in Russian rubles will disrupt the country’s plans to switch payments into the Russian national currency,” Governor Kyrylo Shevchenko said in a statement.
