12 May: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya, one of the premier management institutes in India, is organizing its second two-day Management Development Programme (MDP) on ‘Professional Etiquettes’ for officials of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the largest commercial oil company in the country. The training program, which aims to enhance the soft skills and interpersonal communication of the participants, is scheduled for 12th and 13th May 2023 and will host 26 officers from IOC.
The inaugural event of the program was held on 12th May 2023 at the IIM Bodh Gaya Campus and was graced by Shri Manoj Kumar, HR Head of Bihar & Jharkhand, IOC and Shri Rakesh Roushan, Chief Manager (HR-CSR) of Bihar State Office. They appreciated the initiative taken by IIM Bodh Gaya and expressed their hope for more collaboration and partnership between the two institutions in the future.
In her inaugural address, Prof. Vinita S. Sahay, the Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, shared that this programme will start a new era of beneficial sharing so that both institutions, IOC and IIM Bodh Gaya, get more opportunities to collaborate and become important stakeholders for the institute. She also highlighted the importance of professional etiquettes in today’s dynamic and competitive world and how they can help in building trust and rapport with clients, customers and colleagues.
This is a specialized training on ‘Professional Etiquettes’ to be delivered in the region by IIM Bodh Gaya, which has been offering various customized and long duration programmes for various sectors and organizations. The MDP on ‘Professional Etiquettes’ covers topics such as business communication, email etiquette, presentation skills, team building, conflict management, cross-cultural sensitivity and ethics.
The programme is being conducted by a team of experienced faculty members from IIM Bodh Gaya who have expertise in various domains of management. The pedagogy involves interactive lectures, case studies, role plays, simulations and group activities to ensure active participation and learning outcomes.
The participants of the programme expressed their satisfaction and gratitude for being part of this enriching and valuable experience. They also appreciated the hospitality and facilities provided by IIM Bodh Gaya during their stay at the campus.
The programme will conclude on 13th May 2023 with a valedictory session and certificate distribution ceremony.
