IIM Bodh Gaya has launched a 10-month Executive Certificate Programme in Corporate Law for professionals.
This certificate programme aims to provide a sound understanding of corporate laws and their linkages with various business-related issues, including corporate governance and regulatory issues. It will also deal with formulating and implementing effective financial strategies with legal prudence in the decision-making process. A well-chalked-out understanding of the application of the law is extremely important for finance personnel. This tailor-made course would help the participants understand the legal intricacies of finance and business decisions.
The programme was inaugurated on 22nd April 2023 in the presence of Prof Vinita S. Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, and the Programme Directors – Prof. Sabyasachi Mohapatra, Associate Professor of Finance and Accounting and Prof. Soumya Prakash Patra, Assistant Professor of Law and Public Policy at IIM Bodh Gaya, and all the participants of the programme.
Prof. Sahay appreciated the candidates’ presence and mentioned that IIM Bodh Gaya is located in the land of enlightenment and is an autonomous institute run by the Board of Governors. She also mentioned the launch of two full-time residential MBA programmes, MBA (Hospital & Healthcare Management) and MBA (Digital Business Management), for the academic year 2023-24 and emphasized the presence of top industry leaders in the Industry Advisory Board of the programmes.
She advised the participants saying, “We can only be as good as you all are. Keep challenging your professors; your contribution will help raise the quality of the sessions. This course will help you understand the compliances, and knowing these laws will help you protect yourself.”
Prof. Soumya Prakash Patra mentioned, “The batch profile is dynamic in nature, which has participants of 30 years of experience to 1.8 years of experience and proved there is no age limit to learning. It is also diversified in terms of professions. We strive to meet your expectations in content delivery.”
Prof. Sabyasachi Mohapatra advised the participants to go through the course modules and also asked them to give constructive feedback regarding the programme.
The participants were given an opportunity to raise their queries at the end of the event, which were answered by Prof. Soumya Prakash Patra and Prof. Sabyasachi Mohapatra.
The programme continues till 1st February 2024, and a “Certificate of Completion” will be issued to the participants who will fulfill all the criteria (Attendance & Evaluation) related to the completion of the course. A “Certificate of Participation” will be issued to the participant who fails to fulfill the criteria (Attendance & Evaluation) related to the completion of the course. Successful participants will also be accorded IIM Bodh Gaya Executive Alumni status.
