The entire fraternity of the Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIM BG), in a spirit of festive generosity, came together to organize a special sweet distribution drive during the Diwali celebrations.
The Hostel and Mess committee of the institute orchestrated this event to express gratitude to the often-unsung heroes of the campus – the dedicated workers, including mess staff, guards, and cleaning personnel.
This initiative aligns with the institute’s commitment to holistic development, emphasizing social responsibility and inclusivity among the students, striving to create a culture where every member feels valued, irrespective of their role.
On Diwali around noon, students on campus engaged in distributing the boxes of sweets as tokens of appreciation to mess staff, guards, and cleaning personnel. This helped the students recognise the employees’ hard work and commitment, who frequently perform a crucial function in upholding the campus atmosphere.
IIM BG has been doing various activities like a clothes donation drive and blood donation drive educating future managers on how a small action can have a significant impact. Also, events like Swachhta Pakhwada, Disha, etc., to create community members’ awareness about cleanliness and self-development.
IIM BG thus ensures that these initiatives will inspire similar acts of kindness and generosity within the campus and beyond, creating a ripple effect of positivity and goodwill.
