IIM Bodh Gaya organized blanket distribution drive, sponsored by Muthoot Finance

In the gentle weave of compassion, inspired by Helen Keller’s timeless wisdom – ‘Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much’ – an impactful narrative unfolded in the heart of Bihar, nestled in the embrace of compassion and communal responsibility.

IIM Bodh Gaya’s CSR Committee, Pragati, recently organized a heartwarming event on January 9, 2024. The event, sponsored by Muthoot Finance, unfolded as a Blanket Distribution drive in Mohdar Village, one of the five adopted villages of the prestigious institution.

Muthoot Finance, known for its commitment to social causes, generously sponsored 250 blankets for the underprivileged and needy sections of society, focusing on farmers, widows, handicapped, and disadvantaged children.

The Regional Marketing Head of Muthoot Finance’s Varanasi Branch, Mr. Sanjay Seth, graced the occasion with his presence, marking the company’s dedication to community welfare. Mr. Shiv, the branch head, Gaya, and Mr. Abhishek, the branch staff, Gaya also accompanied Mr. Sanjay to the event.

Their presence was symbolic and a reminder that corporate entities can be powerful allies in creating positive change.

Dr. Vinita S Sahay, the Director of the college, inaugurated the event and graced the occasion, commending the combined efforts of Muthoot Finance and Pragati.

The esteemed faculty members of IIM Bodh Gaya, led by Professor Johnson Abhishek Minz, Chairperson of Pragati, were actively involved in the event. Prof.Suresh KG, Prof.Moh. Ashiq, and Prof. Suman supported the event, making it a truly collaborative effort.

As the faculty members engaged with the villagers, listening to their concerns and challenges, a deeper connection was forged. Professor Johnson Abhishek Minz stated, “Our commitment to these adopted villages goes beyond sporadic events. We aim to create sustainable positive impacts, addressing the root causes of challenges these communities face.”

Pragati stood as a crucial bridge that connects foundations with the underprivileged, fostering unity and building a foundation for a more inclusive future in Bihar. By actively engaging with communities and becoming a source of hope and empowerment, it created a lasting impact by connecting hearts and building a more inclusive future for the people of Bihar.

As the blankets wrapped the villagers in comfort, it was not just physical warmth they received but a reminder that they were not alone. Villagers expressed deep gratitude, sharing how, in those moments, they felt embraced by a big, caring family.

With the support of Muthoot Finance, it paints a vision of a future not just inclusive but profoundly enriched – a legacy of compassion that lingers like a melody in the hearts of the village
