Amit Shah to inaugurate Indo-Pak border tourist project at Nadabet Gujarat like Wagha-Atari

AHMEDABAD: Home Affairs and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will open a border checkpoint, at the Wagha-Atari Border in Punjab, Nadabet in Banaskantha district in Gujarat on Sunday, officials said.

“Under the Seema Darshan Project, Nadabet, on the India-Pakistan border, is being developed to attract tourists at an estimated R125 crore by the state tourism department,” said Alok Pandey, managing director of Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd. told the Hindustan Times.

Along with Shah, Gujarat prime minister Bhupendra Patel and state tourism minister Purnesh Modi will also be in attendance.

The program was launched with the aim of giving citizens the opportunity to experience for themselves the lives of BSF border guards who constantly defend their country, as well as their living conditions, jobs and activities. patriotism, says Pandey.

Another highlight of the event will be the daily exhibition of BSF soldiers, he added.

Visitors will also be able to see a variety of Indian Army and BSF weapons such as missile launchers, T-55 tanks, machine guns, torpedoes, winged tanks and MiG-27 aircraft at Nadabet.

The Nadabet Seema Darshan Project is expected to be the first modern BSF program in the country, which will showcase the origins, development and role of the BSF in the wars and achievements of the most dedicated heroes. secular.

The 30-foot-tall T-Junction pillar, adorned with drawings depicting border guards at work, is the central part of the suspended Seema Darshan Complex.

Another monument called ‘Ajay Prahari’ has been erected as a memorial to the heroic soldiers who sacrificed their lives while defending the nation. The Indian national flag is hoisted at a height of 40 feet here.

An Interpreter Center has been established to inform visitors about the life of BSF jawan and the daily living conditions of the citizens of the border town through modern viewing settings. The installation of effective technology such as visual surveillance, experience technology and simulation is expected to attract visitors.

The six-museum space gallery is intended to provide insight into the geographical and geographical location of the Nadabet people and its proximity to the international border of Gujarat. At the same time, it will also highlight the challenges posed by the strongest areas along the border, officials said.
