New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 10th and 12th practical exam dates for winter schools for the 2022-2023 examinations.
While practical exams, project and internal assessment exams are scheduled for 1 January 2023, exams in schools in winter areas will be held from 15 November to 14 December. Schools in winter areas are expected to be closed in January for the winter season.
“As per the provisions, practical examinations, projects, or internal assessments for the session 2022-23 are scheduled from January 1, 2023, for all affiliated schools in India and abroad. However, schools located in winter areas are expected to remain closed during the month of January due to the winter season.
Accordingly, the Winter School Class 10 and 12 examinations will be held from November 15, 2022, to December 14, 2022,” an official CBSE statement said.
While announcing the dates of CBSE practical exams for winter residence schools, CBSE has also issued guidelines for conducting practical exams, projects, and internal evaluations in these schools.
The schools were asked to prepare the final list of candidates and ensure that no student of the schools whose name was not submitted to the online LOC committee could participate in the practical exam, project, and internal assessment.
The board asked CBSE schools to contact the regional office to appoint external examiners and observers and ensure timely completion of the examinations and circulate answer books and award lists to the regional offices.
The practical exam dates and instructions, the committee added, are only for schools with winter residence and do not apply to schools with regular school education.
