Chhattisgarh Government to Provide 15,000 Homes for Maoist-Affected Families

The Chhattisgarh government has initiated a comprehensive rehabilitation program for families affected by Maoist violence and ex-Maoists who have surrendered. The state government has sought 15,000 houses to provide shelter to these families, aiming to reintegrate them into mainstream society.

The program is part of the state’s efforts to address the issues faced by families who have suffered due to Maoist violence and those who have renounced Maoist ideology. The government plans to provide these families with a secure and stable environment, enabling them to rebuild their lives.

The 15,000 houses will be constructed under various government schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The state government has already identified land for the construction of these houses and will soon begin the building process.

This initiative is seen as a significant step towards rehabilitating families affected by Maoist violence and encouraging more Maoists to surrender. The government has also announced various incentives for ex-Maoists, including financial assistance, education, and job opportunities, to help them reintegrate into society.

The Chhattisgarh government’s efforts to address the Maoist issue through rehabilitation and reintegration have been welcomed by experts, who believe that this approach can help reduce Maoist influence in the region. The state government’s initiative is seen as a crucial step towards bringing peace and stability to the affected areas.
