HomeIndiaCM Bommai backs Govt. stand on Hijab row in...

Karnataka CM Bommai defends his government’s “Uniform Diktat” over Hijab Row in schools and colleges that defy government order. CM Bommai advocates a Uniform system in schools, and all the government colleges and schools need to follow this Uniform law. High Court of Karnataka to decide soon.

Bommai spoke out over the Karnataka Hijab controversy and said the opposition is politicizing the issue. CM further cites the Constitution to defend the uniformity in the State.

According to the Education act, 1993, it spells out all the uniformity integrity, and nothing that goes against the public order should be followed. Whosoever comes to attain Education needs to maintain perfect harmony and uniformity.

Due to Hijab wearing by Muslim girls and practising of Namaz, several Hindu students started wearing Bhagwa cloth to schools and started chanting “Jai Shree Ram” slogans.

Therefore, this type of radical propagation spreads hate among students. The country needs to adopt uniformity, equality and integrity, but apart from this, we are moving towards hate and bigotry. Spreading and propagating hatred among students requires implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
