Veteran Indian cricketer and chief advisor of the Punjab Cricket Association Harbhajan Singh has written a letter to the association stating the presence of illegal activities by the office bearers.
The letter was sent to CM Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal. However, he did not mention the names of the officials.
“The crux of the matter is that the PCA is trying hard to get the 150 voting members to tip the balance in their favor and these inductions are being made without the consent of the Supreme Council/General Body or consultation with the Chief Counsel (Singh),” he wrote in your letter.
Harbhajan added that the above activities are against the BCCI constitution and PCA guidelines.
“Therefore, they are against the BCCI constitution, PCA guidelines, and violation of transparency and ethical norms of sports bodies.
To cover up their illegal activities, they do not organize formal PCA meetings and take all suo moto decisions which serve their selfish motives,” he wrote.
In an interview with PTI, Harbhajan claimed that he has been receiving these complaints for 10-15 days and that he was kept in the dark about many policy decisions.
When asked about his letter, Harbhajan told PTI, “For a good 10-15 days now, I have been receiving complaints about how the top functionary is doing his job. political decisions.
He ended by saying that the affected defaulters had already collected subscription amounts from 60-70 people.
“I was told today that they have already collected the membership dues from 60 to 70 people. The process needs to be stopped immediately.
I have no choice but to write to the members individually and also inform the Chief Minister.”
Harbhajan Singh is one of India’s most decorated cricketers and his letter carries immense weight. It will be interesting to see how the authorities react to his letter.
