Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday emphasized India’s capability to efficiently organize large-scale events like the Maha Kumbh, saying that there is no need to “manufacture” news, as new records are being set every day.
Addressing the NXT Conclave 2025, PM Modi highlighted the growing global interest in India.
“People from all over the world want to visit India. Today, India is a country where positive news is created every day. There is no need to ‘manufacture’ news here—new records are being set daily. On February 26, the Maha Kumbh of Unity concluded in Prayagraj. The world is amazed at how crores of people gather in a temporary city on the banks of a river to take a holy dip. The world is witnessing India’s organizational and innovative skills. They want to know this India in detail,” the prime minister said.
The Maha Kumbh 2025 concluded on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri on February 26, marking a momentous event filled with spiritual unity, divine energy, and profound significance.
Over 66.21 crore devotees took part in the holy bathing at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj during the Maha Kumbh 2025, which began on January 13 (Paush Purnima) and continued until February 26 (Maha Shivratri).
Highlighting his visit to the AI Summit in France last month, PM Modi emphasized India’s growing leadership in global summits.
“Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the AI Summit in France, where India co-hosted the event—an initiative that will drive the world forward. Now, it’s India’s turn to host the summit. India successfully hosted the G20 Summit and introduced the world to a new economic route—the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC). We also gave a voice to the Global South by inducting the African Union as a G20 member. For us, island nations remain a priority,” he added.
PM Modi, who co-chaired the AI Action Summit in Paris alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, stated that AI has the potential to transform millions of lives, particularly in sectors such as healthcare, education, and agriculture.
India has also offered to host the next AI Summit.
