Indian Cricketer Mohammed Siraj Takes Oath as Deputy Superintendent of Police in Telangana
In a ceremonial event held in Hyderabad, Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj was sworn in as the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Telangana.
Siraj, who has been a regular member of the Indian national cricket team, was appointed to the position by the Telangana government in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the sport.
Expressing gratitude, Siraj said, “I’m honored to serve my state and country in this new role. I’ll ensure that I fulfill my responsibilities with dedication and integrity.”
Telangana Director-General of Police, M. Mahendar Reddy, praised Siraj’s achievement, stating, “Mohammed Siraj’s appointment will inspire youth to take up sports and serve the nation.”
Siraj’s journey from a humble background to becoming a renowned cricketer is an inspiration to many. His father, Mohammed Ghouse, a auto-rickshaw driver, encouraged his passion for cricket.
Siraj’s rise to fame began when he was selected for the Indian Under-19 team. He then went on to play for the Indian Premier League (IPL) and eventually made his international debut for India.
As DSP, Siraj will be responsible for maintaining law and order in his designated area, besides serving as a role model for young aspiring cricketers.
