The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on IndiGo after the airline refused to board a particularly disabled child at Ranchi airport.
IndiGo on May 9 said the boy was banned from boarding a Ranchi-Hyderabad flight as he “looked nervous”. As the boy was banned from boarding, his parents – who were traveling with him – decided not to board the plane. The incident took place on Facebook, with a passenger at the airport waiting to board another flight.
