Jaishankar is currently on a two-day visit to South Africa at the invitation of South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola, to participate in the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), his presence is aimed at strengthening India’s engagement with the G20 and amplifying the voice of the Global South within the forum.
