Mumbai Court extended the judicial custody of MP Sanjay Raut till September 5 

Mumbai: A unique court in Mumbai on Monday extended the judicial custody of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut until September five in a cash laundering case related to alleged irregularities inside the redevelopment of a Mumbai ‘chawl’.


Mr. Raut, 60, turned into arrested via the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on August 1 in reference to alleged economic irregularities in the redevelopment of the Patra Chawl (row tenement) in suburban Goregaon.

After being in the ED’s custody, first of all, the Sena leader became despatched to judicial custody for 14 days on August 8.

On Monday, unique Judge M G Deshpande, hearing instances related to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), prolonged Raut’s custody until August 30.
