Naxalite’s attack on Ex MLA, 2 bodyguard’s killed

Gurucharan Nayak a former BJP MLA from Manoharpur, shortly escaped a Naxalite attack but Naxalites reportedly killed two of his three legitimate security guards and managed to rob the weapons at the Goilkera police station in West Singhbhum district.

Local Police stated that the, attack took place at Jhinaruan where Ex BJP MLA invited as a guest to attend a football match.

When Nayak managed to flee the area along with one of his three bodyguards and arrived at the Goilkera police station to report the incident, it was reported that the other two guards were killed by ultra and had their arms cut off.

“According to the latest confirmed information, a Jharkhand police officer and a former MLA died. One security guard was missing and a third man escaped with the legislature. One AK-47 and two Insas rifles were looted by three security guards,” stated by Neeraj Sinha, director general of Jharkhand police.

The DGP said more troops had been deployed at the scene and that Jawan’s body would be found.

Although Nayak was not immediately available for comment, the DGP said the former legislator had not informed local police despite his late departure.

Earlier in 2012, Nayak similarly survived an attack by Maoists on the site of the Anandpur regional police station.

Therefore, the rising threat of Naxalites terror is an alarming sign for the humanity and existence the State and Central government need to intervene in the matter of this terrorism. The country is already surrounded by lot of enemies, rising tensions within the country is acting like a boost to external enemies.
