PM Modi will inaugurate and address the 25th National Youth Festival today

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open and address the 25th National Youth Festival today, January 12, to mark the 159th birthday of Swami Vivekananda. PM Modi had invited suggestions from young people from across the country for his speech.

The prime minister could include some of the suggestions in his speech, the prime minister’s office said.

The event will be attended by youth representatives from all districts of India. The National Youth Festival aims to mobilize, ignite, unite and activate young citizens in nation-building to unlock the true potential of the demographic dividend, an official statement said.

As part of the festival, a national youth summit will be organized on January 13, 2022, with the aim of bringing together the diverse cultures of India and integrating them into a unified thread of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.

Exchange of Ideas Youth Summit sessions will be held with local and global icons and experts to spread knowledge and train the intellect, he added.

Meanwhile, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked affiliated schools to celebrate “National Youth Day” and “Birthday of Swami Vivekananda” online or offline.

“All CBSE affiliated schools can celebrate January 12, 2022, as ‘National Youth Day’ and ‘Birthday of Swami Vivekananda’ in online/offline mode,” the council said. The Board has asked the schools to organize special gatherings, debates or speeches, and cultural programs dedicated to Swami Vivekananda on this occasion.
