Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Diwali with the armed forces near the Indo-Pak border in Gujarat’s Kutch district today. He visited Lakki Nala in Sir Creek area, where he spent time with personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF), Army, Navy, and Air Force .
Modi was seen wearing a BSF uniform and offering sweets to the personnel on board a patrol vessel, a gesture that highlights the government’s appreciation for the troops’ tireless efforts in protecting the nation’s borders. This visit is particularly significant given the strategic location of Kutch, which shares a border with Pakistan.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar on the birth anniversary of India’s first Home Minister, which is celebrated as National Unity Day .
This is not the first time Modi has celebrated Diwali with the armed forces. In previous years, he has visited various border areas, including Siachen and Jammu and Kashmir, to boost the morale of the troops and demonstrate the government’s commitment to their well-being.
By celebrating Diwali with the armed forces, Modi aims to promote national unity and recognize the sacrifices made by the troops to ensure the country’s safety and security.
