Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch three new Vande Bharat Express trains on August 31, 2024, in a significant boost to India’s rail network. The new trains will connect key cities across the country, providing passengers with a faster and more comfortable travel experience.
The first train will run between Mumbai and Solapur, covering a distance of approximately 455 kilometers in just 6.5 hours. The train will have stops at key stations including Pune, Kurduwadi, and Osmanabad.
The second train will connect Chennai and Coimbatore, covering a distance of around 495 kilometers in 6.5 hours. The train will have stops at major stations including Tirupattur, Salem, and Erode.
The third train will run between Bilaspur and Nagpur, covering a distance of approximately 415 kilometers in 6 hours. The train will have stops at key stations including Raipur, Durg, and Gondia.
The Vande Bharat Express trains are equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, including comfortable seating, onboard Wi-Fi, and advanced safety features. The trains are designed to operate at speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour, making them significantly faster than existing trains on these routes.
The launch of these new trains is part of the government’s efforts to upgrade India’s rail network and provide passengers with a world-class travel experience.
