Rashtrapati Bhavan and its Museum will be shut down from the 1st Jan 2022, the decision is taken to ensure the public safety amid the surge in Covid-19 cases. The new variant of the Covid-19 that is Omicron is frightening the public at large.

The new order states about the closure of Rashtrapati Bhavana and its museum for the general public from the 1st of Jan 2022. The change of guard ceremony will also not take place till further order.

“As a precautionary measure against the spread of Covid-19 and Omicron variant the Rashtrapati Bhavan and Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum will be closed from January 1 till further order,” the issued statement from Rashtrapati Bhavan reads.

The country witnessed an humongous rise in the Covid19 cases after the advent of Omicron into the country. India records 16764 and 220 succumbed due to the concerned virus.
