TMC under Party leader and West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee refrained from voting in the Vice Presidential Polls but, Shishir and Divendu Adhikari disobeyed the orders and casted their votes. Around 34 TMC MP’s refrained from voting to either Margaret Alva or Jagdeep Dhankhar.
Around 40 MP’s refuted to cast vote which includes 34 PM from TMP 2 each from Shiv Sena and Samajwadi Party and One MP from BSP under Mayawati.
The open rebel by Shishir and Divendu Adhikari to their Party TMC shows TMC’s poor control over the party leaders. Shishir and Divendu Adhikari are are also Father and brother of Suvendu Adhikari, thus, hinting possible joining of BJP in coming days.
On the other hand, TMC supremo Mamta Banerjhee also met PM Modi today in Delhi amid raids on Partho Chatterjee by Enforcement Directorate regarding the Teacher Recruitment Scam.
