Rajkummar was born in Gurgaon, Ahirwal, Haryana on 31 August 1984. He began acting in college and won several awards for it. After graduating from Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College in Arts and simultaneously doing a theater course in Delhi, the actor is now known for his versatility.
His acting career began with the anthology Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010). Success came in supporting roles in Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2 and Talaash: The Answer Lies Within (both 2012). His performances in Kai Po Che! and Shahid (both 2013) gained him critical acclaim; the latter won him the National Film Award. And after that, he did many movies such as Queen (2014), CityLights (2014), Aligarh (2016), Trapped (2017), & many more.
As per his recently released movie Badhaai Do, on Friday, when the film debuted at the box office with just Rs 1.65 crore, it proved a slow start. However, on Saturday, when the film marked its second day, it showed great promise. And the movie gives a very good & positive impact on society.

- Mr & Mrs Mahi: – After Roohi, Rajkummar Rao, and Janhvi Kapoor starred in the horror comedy-drama, they will reunite for Karan Johar’s family drama Mr. And Mrs. Mahi. The cast also announced before the filming began. Produced under Dharma production & directed by Sharan Sharma. The movie is going to release on 07th October 2022.
- Bheed: – A socio-political drama directed by Anubhav Sinha paired with Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar. T-series made the announcement “A ground-breaking social drama deserves the very best. This is why we are so happy to have the ever-so versatile @bhumipednekar join team #Bheed!”. The Movie Production started in November 2021.
- Monica o my darling: – In an upcoming project, Netflix released the first look at Monica, My Darling in July 2021. The first look is mainly a cast reveal. Among the cast members of Monica, O My Darling are Radhika Apte, Huma Qureshi, and Sikandar Kher. The release date hasn’t been decided yet.
- Srikanth Bolla Biopic: – T Series collaborated with Rajkummar Rao again to make the biopic of famous industrialist Srikanth Bolla.
