If you want to enjoy the beauty of summer flowers, you have a chance to visit the Amrit Udyan, the former Mughal Gardens, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The Amrit Udyan will be open for the second time this year from August 16 to September 15, except on Mondays. You can also celebrate Teachers’ Day on September 5 by visiting the garden exclusively for teachers.
This is the first time that the Amrit Udyan is opening twice in a year. The first time was from January 29 to March 31, when more than a million people visited the garden.
The Amrit Udyan showcases a variety of roses, tulips, lilies, daffodils and other flowers that bloom in summer.
You can enter the garden for free from gate no. 35 of the Rashtrapati Bhavan near North Avenue between 10 am and 5 pm (last entry 4 pm).
You can book your slots online from August 7 on the Rashtrapati Bhavan website – visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in. You can also get passes from self-service kiosks near gate no. 35.
Students of government schools can also visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum for free along with the garden.
