Requests for food delivery from Zomato and Swiggy on Wednesday have been reported in many cities. Both companies wrote on Twitter to angry Twitter users and assured them that their teams were working to fix what Zomato called a ‘technical snag’.
“We apologize for the long delay we are currently experiencing due to a technical problem. This is not uncommon for us and our advanced minds work on it to resolve it quickly. Please be patient with us. If your case is not resolved please contact us and we will be happy to assist you, ”said Swiggy.
Zomato said it was facing a “temporary error” and that its operating system “would be operational soon”.
“Hello, we are facing a temporary problem. Please be assured that our team is working on this and we will be working soon,” Zomato’s statement read.
Downdetector, a website that monitors disruption by collecting status reports from various sources, including news submitted by users, revealed as many as 3,030 reports of the Zomato outbreak in India at 2pm. The number of Swiggy extinguishes at the same time was recorded at 789.
