However, Charlie, 61, was nowhere to be seen on the iconic red sofa.
Instead Naga, 48, was joined by Matt Taylor as they brought viewers the latest news.
Matt, who is a regular presenter at the Beeb, has co-hosted BBC Breakfast before.
The pair didn’t explain to viewers why Charlie wasn’t there.
He usually fronts the show with Naga from Thursday to Saturday.
BBC viewers took to social media to share their thoughts, with some wondering if there had been a bust-up between Charlie and Naga.
One wrote: “Have Charlie and Naga fallen out? They never seem to appear together these days..”
A second penned: “Intriguing?! After looking visibly refreshed last weekend, today BBC Breakfast sees the return of the tension and turbulence of Naga Munchetty, and now Charlie Stayt is MIA?! It seems there is trouble in paradise!”
A third added: “You’re brave in the studio with Naga.”
It comes after Naga recently shared photo’s from her trip to Scotland, revealing to fans the reason why she’s been absent from the show.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
