And in recent scenes of the ITV soap, she finally decided to give him a chance, completely discarding Elaine Jones’ warnings.
The pair kissed and decided to leave the cobbles for a romantic getaway.
Next week, Stephen and Jenny are loved up as they return from Paris.
Once they arrive, Jenny tells Stephen it’s time he moved into the pub as she’s ready for their relationship to evolve.
Stephen returns to work full of the joys, but his mood soon changes when he hears a dead body has been found on Ed and Ronnie’s building site.
Doing his best to mask his inner turmoil as he’s fully aware one of his many crimes may have been uncovered, Stephen makes out he has a migraine.
Later on at the pub, Stephen presses Ed for more details.
When Ed confirms that it was definitely a man’s body, Stephen’s heart sinks.
A uniformed Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) then calls at the pub and breaks the news to Jenny that the body is that of her former fiancé Leo Thompkins.
Jenny reels in shock, is the game up for Stephen?
Leo and Jenny had made plans to get married and move to Canada together last year.
However, she was crushed when he vanished from the cobbles without a warning, seemingly ending their engagement without any explanation.
