AGGRAVATED Emmerdale fans have asked for show bosses to get rid of one character they find ‘unbearable’, despite her new health diagnosis.
On the most recent episode of the soap, Cathy Hope finally discovered the reason behind her mood swings when docs revealed she has PMDD.

Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a more severe type of PMS which affects one in 20 women worldwide.
It can result in a series of emotional and physical issues, such as feelings of anxiety or paranoia, mood swings, suicidal thoughts, problems with sleeping, bloating, and muscle pains.
After hearing about the condition that was affecting her, the Emmerdale teen told her dad she wanted a hysterectomy.
But fans of the ITV show had little sympathy for Cathy, taking to social media to beg show bosses to scrap the character from the programme.
Someone with the character’s condition wrote: “As someone who has suffered from severe PMS I should have more sympathy for Cathy, but she is so incredibly annoying.”
Another said: “We’re all going to need some of Cathy’s tablets if this carries on.”
A third person added: “I hope they find a cure for Cathy rather than just manage the symptoms. I can’t abide the moodiness any longer.
“Maybe she should be called Gale…cos she almost lifts roofs off house and uproots trees when she’s off on one.”
One fan asked the producers: “I’m begging…PLEASE get rid of Cathy.”
One more sympathetic viewer shared: “Just been looking up that PMDD and to be fair Cathy does have a lot to moan about. Problem is I don’t want to see the moaning!”
