Producers Guild Awards 2024: Submission Calendar, Date, Venue and Everything You Need to Know.
The Producers Guild of America (PGA) has announced the key dates and deadlines for the 34th annual Producers Guild Awards, which will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
The Producers Guild Awards honor the producers of the best films, television shows, documentaries and digital content of the year. The awards are considered a reliable indicator of the Oscars, as the PGA and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences share many members and use a similar preferential ballot system.
The submission period for the Producers Guild Awards 2024 will open on Monday, October 2, 2023 and close on Friday, November 17, 2023. The eligibility period for theatrical motion pictures and television programs is January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023.
The nominees for the Producers Guild Awards 2024 will be announced on Thursday, January 4, 2024. The final voting period will begin on Monday, January 29, 2024 and end on Friday, February 9, 2024.
The Producers Guild Awards 2024 will feature 13 categories: The Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures; The Award for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures; The David L. Wolper Award for Outstanding Producer of Limited Series Television; The Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television – Drama; The Danny Thomas Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television – Comedy; The Award for Outstanding Producer of Non-Fiction Television; The Award for Outstanding Producer of Live Entertainment & Talk Television; The Award for Outstanding Producer of Competition Television; The Award for Outstanding Producer of Game & Competition Television; The Award for Outstanding Sports Program; The Award for Outstanding Children’s Program; The Award for Outstanding Short-Form Program; and The PGA Innovation Award.
The Producers Guild Awards 2024 will also present special honors to individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the industry and society. These include the Milestone Award, the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures, the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television, the Visionary Award, the Stanley Kramer Award and the Charles FitzSimons Honorary Service Award.
The Producers Guild Awards 2024 will be co-chaired by PGA members Chris Thomes and Julius Tennon. More details about the event, including ticket sales and sponsorship opportunities, will be announced in the coming months.
