The polls in all the five states witnessed results on the 10th of March where BJP clinched four states and AAP took Punjab. Several political giants of the Punjab, UP, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur lost their seats in the elections.
In Punjab, Congress leaders like Ex CM Chanranjeet Singh Channi lost both the seats, Sidhu also lost his seat in Amritsar whereas Former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh lost his Patiala seat. Prominent Badal family of Akali Dal lost all the seats including of Jalalabad, Amritsar and few others.
