THE frustrations of living in a tiny home have reached boiling point for one woman.
It has got so bad that she has admitted that she wants to scream, with the sink a particular problem.
It has, she said, become the bane of her life and is impossible to clean.
Sarah Morgan (@.sarahmorgan) has created a short list of six areas of her teeny home that drive her crazy.
“Things in my tiny house that make me want to scream,” she said in her post.
First, was the annoying position of her toilet – but she only discovered this when adding some artwork to the wall behind it.
“I positioned it centrally on the wall and stepped back only to realize that my toilet actually wasn’t centered.
“Which means that the art work that was centered is now off-center.”
Onto the cupboards in the bathroom: “Look at this disaster,” she said, as her belongings spilled out of every available space.
But it might prompt some action on her front.
“This move into the tiny house has given me a not-so-gentle nudge in the direction of downsizing and consolidating what I own,” she figured.
Next was an area that continued to infuriate her – the bathroom sink.
“This is the bane of my existence at the moment,” she fumed.
“It is literally filthy after every single use. It shows everything and it is impossible to keep clean.”
The curtains beside it were pretty hopeless too, and there was nowhere to secure them when not in use.
This was followed by an ironic introduction to her mirror – the only one in her titchy home.
But that was a small problem compared to what came next.
“The shower was a sh*t show,” she said, not mincing her words.
“The base of the shower is not level so the water pools around the outside and it never dries and also starts to smell.”
Sarah was constantly having to mop up the water after every shower and it was impossible to find anyone to fix it.
“It’s so hard to get a contractor,” she said.
Commenters were sympathetic: “I feel your pain. A squeegee will help with the shower.”
Sarah was grateful for the tip: “That’s such a good idea.”
