Sharing the transformation online, Sophie took to social media to show a before and after look at her dining room.

At the start of the short video, Sophie shared how her space looked prior to its makeover.

Very plain and boring, the dining area was in need of some love.

Sophie then said: “I want a classy dining room…and I want to do it myself.”

Seconds later, Sophie then shared a close-up look at her finished space, which had been given a mega glow up on a budget.

The dining room was complete with not only new grey flooring and a table and chairs, but a beautiful mirror wall too.

The social media user explained that she nabbed the mirrors from Ikea, as she confirmed: “I made it using panelling and mirrors from Ikea.”

In a follow-up clip, Sophie went into detail about how she made her mirror wall.

The DIY enthusiast revealed: “I’ve had so many people asking how I did the mirrored wall in my dining room.

“So here’s a quick video of each step. I did actually do this about three years ago.

“First of all you need to start by measuring the wall.

“I used 6mm MDF which I got from B&Q and they cut it to size.

“Once you’ve measured the wall, you then need to decide how many mirrors you’re going to have and how big the panelling is going to be.

“Mirrors are from Ikea and they are 30cm by 30cm.

“I filled in all the gaps first, then I went round each square with a bit of beading, just to give it a bit more detail.

“Once it was all painted I stuck all the mirrors in. I just used the pads that came with the Ikea mirrors.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @sophies.home.life, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and has since amassed a staggering 2.9 million views.

Social media users were left stunned at the dining room transformation and many were eager to express this in the comments.

One person said: “I shouted WOW out loud. Stunning.”

Another added: “It’s beautiful.”

A third commented: “Absolutely stunning.”
