Currently, the department is under Venkaiyya Naidu and the election for same will happen on 6th August, 2022.
Jagdeep Dhankad during his tenure as West Bengal governor has impressed the masses and high command due to his sincerity towards his work and maintaining efficiency in the State like West Bengal which is itself an violence prone site.
