Maura, 32, recently returned to the reality show franchise as the social host of the fifth season of the American series of Love Island.

She also appeared in the villa to guest host a challenge for the US Islanders, but she has now revealed the chances of her ever returning to the villa as a contestant are slim.

With a Love Island All Stars series in the pipeline at ITV2, fans had hoped Maura would return to bring another round of sass, but the beauty has shut down any speculation.

In a recent Instagram Q&A she said: “I’m not sure how many times I have to answer this.

“I’m never going to go back on to Love Island. Like no because I didn’t enjoy myself, it was such an incredible experience, it changed my life, it gave me the platform I have today.”

She continued: “But I feel like I’ve done it once and I think once is enough and I’m a bit old for that.

“I’m not going to go back on the show, I feel like I’m really enjoying what I’m doing… I just don’t really want to go backwards, I want to look forward.

“Like not saying anything bad about people that would do it again but like each to their own but yeah just not me.”

The All Stars series will see Islanders from various editions of the franchise will head to the villa used for the Winter series of Love Island in South Africa.

Former UK Islanders rumoured to be lined up include Megan Barton Hanson and Maura’s ex, Curtis Pritchard.

They will be joined by cast members from the US and Aussie series.

Confirming the series, Mike Spencer boss of Love Island’s production company, Lifted Entertainment, said: “It has been rumoured now for a while but we are thrilled to finally confirm that we are making Love Island: All Stars early next year for ITV2 and ITVX.

“It’s set to be a must-watch series seeing some of your favourite Islanders from across the years heading back to the stunning South African villa to once again “graft” as their search for love continues. I simply can’t wait.”

Love Island is available on ITVX.
