Jahengirpuri area of Delhi witnessed stone pelting at Hanuman Jayanti procession by an uncontrolled mob, several vehicles gutted into fire. HM Amit Shah dialed Delhi Police Commissioner regarding the issue.
According to the ground sources, an uncontrolled mob attacked the procession containing 1600 people. The mob is allegedly comprised Bangladeshi refugees who were equipped with guns, sword and other injurious weapons.
Delhi Police Commissioner guided police towards patrolling in the area and ensured public about taking strict action upon the culprits of the scene. Police Commissioner puts Delhi Police under high alert over the issue.
These type of communal tensions are increasing day-by-day in the country. Targeting Hindu celebrations and rituals has drastically increased in past few day as during Ram Navami procession around 6-7 states reported chaos including MP, Gujarat, WB and several other. Delhi’s JNU also reported communal tension in hostels regarding food preferences.
Sources further added that around two police personnel are reportedly injured in the attack.
The sources further talks that their were a serious conspiracy behind happening of the event.
Kapil Mishra said all the culprits should be punished by Bulldozer action upon their residence, this type of inhumane behavior will not be tolerated more.
Delhi State Government and Congress party appealed to maintain peace in the area.
Thus, in a country where principle of secularism and equality are treated at a prior level by the law, these type of instances shames the humanity, liberty and religious tolerance. Every community and religion should have to respect each others faith and practice, to maintain a peaceful and healthy environment.
