Vice President of Gambia, Joof arrived in India to attend CII-EXIM Bank Conclave 2022

Gambia Vice President Badara A. Joof has arrived in India on a five-day visit to attend the Confederation of Indian Industry and EXIM Bank of India (CII-EXIM) Bank Conclave 2022

Gambia’s Vice President Badara A. Joof has arrived in India on a five-day visit to attend the Confederation of Indian Industry and EXIM Bank of India (CII-EXIM) Bank Conclave 2022 along with other bilateral engagements.

The Ministry of External Affairs tweeted: “Strengthening partnership. We welcome the Vice President of The Gambia on his arrival in India. He is on a 5-day visit to India and will attend the CII-EXIM Bank Conclave 2022, among other bilateral engagements.”

Meanwhile, Namibia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah arrived in the country’s capital on Sunday for the CII-EXIM Bank conclave.

“A warm welcome to DPM & FM Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah of Namibia in India. Her participation in the CII-EXIM Bank Conclave and extensive engagement over the next few days will further deepen our relations with Namibia in all areas,” said Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi . he said.

The event is scheduled to take place between July 19 and 20, where both countries, India and Africa will hold sessions on various topics under themes such as “Building Partnerships for Funding”, “SERV Africa – Partnership for Higher Education and Skills Development with Africa” , Strengthening value chains in the agriculture and food processing sector and many others.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Confederation of Indian Industry President Sanjiv Bajaj will also attend the meeting.

The CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India-Africa Project Partnership was launched in 2005 with the support of the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, according to the CII-EXIM Africa Conclave official website.

In the last sixteen editions, the Conclave has played a key role in encouraging Indian companies to establish and expand their footprints in Africa.

According to the website, the level of economic engagement between India and Africa has become multi-dimensional and to reflect the changing contours of this dynamic relationship, the conclave is being rechristened as “CII EXIM Bank Conclave on India Africa Partnership for Growth”, expanding the earlier focus on “Project Partnership “.

“The upcoming edition will focus on project export, trade, investment and exchange of knowledge and expertise creating shared value for trade and industry as a whole between India and Africa,” said the CII-EXIM Africa Conclave. The two-day event will be held at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi.
