BJP MP Parvesh Verma demanded closure of Meat shops during pious Navratri. He further added that Navratri and Ramdan are pious thus, seeing both the festivals we should have to implement this decision nationwide.
The food tussle among the political parties arises when SDMC closed the meat shops which triggered controversy among the market.
Earlier, Ghaziabad department also put ban upon the meat shops but, eventually failed to uphold the ban amid severe criticism whereas SDMC doesn’t looks poised enough to withdraw the ban.
