Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has announced his retirement from international cricket. The 37-year-old left-handed opener made the announcement on social media, bringing an end to his illustrious international career.

Dhawan made his international debut in 2010 and went on to play 161 ODIs and 68 T20Is for India. He was a key player in India’s batting line-up, scoring 6,701 runs in ODIs and 1,617 runs in T20Is. He also played 34 Test matches for India, scoring 2,315 runs.
