China To Launch 13,000 Satellites Into Space for 5G; Under Guowang Project

China’s ambitious ‘mega constellation’ of up to 13,000 satellites that would operate in low Earth orbit, akin to SpaceX Starlink, has raised snooping concerns, said a recent report of Daily Mail.

The network is reportedly part of China’s 5G mobile internet release. Initial contracts were awarded to businesses to start development work in Chongqing. The network coverage and functionality are unclear, but the goal is to improve global communication and support services in rural areas.

According to reports, China is concerned about the international chase of frequencies that allow data to flow from Earth to space.

China had earlier announced plans to launch a major galaxy, called “Guowang” (GW), by 2021. The constellation is designed to be compatible with satellite-based internet services.

The rush to provide online services with space-based assets in Low-Earth orbit (LEO) has created various barriers, with China becoming a new partner between a long list of American companies and the European Union, according to an article published by Observer Research. Foundation.

Satellite Airlines is a high-tech activity of the Chinese government, and it can spread Internet and telecommunications services worldwide, not just in China, competing with Western companies.

Mega-constellation is made up of hundreds to thousands of satellites that work together to cover all parts of the Earth, many of which operate a few hundred miles above the earth to provide internet services. The Low-Earth Orbit is becoming increasingly congested due to the commercial interests of various nations.

According to the Chinese government magazine, Science and Technology Daily, the new initiative will see the construction of a communications channel in Chongqing.

China has installed satellite tracking, a country that claims to monitor marine disasters, marine ecosystems, and water conservation.

The companies awarded the contract to establish a satellite station in Chongqing say the city offers a variety of strategic benefits, including labor and economic.

According to Commsat, one of these companies, international competition for frequency and resources in low orbit Earth is pushing for development. There is now a limited amount of data processing within China, and in order to build a global network, China will need to invest in channels around the world.

The satellite tracker will operate on a variety of frequency bands and may be worldwide, providing services in various countries.

t is supported by the Chinese government, and is in line with plans for a wide range of satellite and space collections across the country. This is part of a five-year plan that requires an integrated network of communications, world views, and satellites by 2026.

In its five-year spacecraft program, Beijing had stated its intention to launch satellites with the help of state-owned companies and private actors to compete with the United States, as previously reported by the EurAsian Times.

China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), a state-owned company, announced in 2020 plans to complete the Xingyun project, LEO’s 80-satellite Internet of Things, by 2025.

Snooping Concerns

Not long ago, reports indicated that the United States was planning to build a ‘satellite star’ to detect, detect, and track Russian and Chinese hypersonic arrows, as previously reported by the EurAsian Times.

Additionally, Space X led by Elon Musk had announced earlier this month that the mega-constellation would be updated every five months with new technology.

With nearly 2,000 satellites active, SpaceX Starlink is the most advanced, but Amazon intends to launch thousands more, and the European Union is considering its options, according to the Daily Mail.

While the American mega-constellation constellation is well integrated into space, similar Chinese programs have created deep fears. China’s space march with its space station and lunar base with Russia has disrupted the United States, which has enjoyed independence in space space since the fall of the Soviet Union.

Security experts are concerned about any action China takes in space, especially what could possibly be the use of a global satellite ship looking at the Earth.

Relations between China and the West are currently tense due to the persistent anger of Western countries over China’s secrecy about the origins of the Covid-19 outbreak. And any mass launch of satellites will certainly raise concerns that they will be used to test the US and its allies, according to the Daily Mail.

Western nations have blamed China for frequent inspections and the proposed constellation will create more suspicion and cause further disappointment between the two rivals. In addition, Americans have blamed China for the military base.
