The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a message to Slovakia after the Sept. 30 parliamentary election in which it looked forward to working with the new government.
Over the past three years, Taiwan and Slovakia have cooperated closely in aerospace development, culture, digitalization of small and medium enterprises, health care, technology and trade, among other industries. Over 20 collaborative pacts have been signed in these and other sectors, the ministry said.
According to the MOFA, in 2022, the Slovak parliament passed five Taiwan-friendly resolutions, firmly supporting Taiwan’s international participation, for which the country was appreciative.
Taiwan shares universal values of democracy, freedom and human rights with the central European country. Based on the current close ties, the ministry anticipates the mutually beneficial partnership will deepen. (POC-E)
