The autumn and winter edition of 2026 Taipei Fashion Week drew to a close March 29 in Taipei City and showcased the vibrancy of Taiwan’s fashion industry.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with Taiwan Design Research Institute, opened March 26 at Taipei Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. More than 50 buyers from 10 countries and 60 designer brands took part and created NT$260 million (US$8.13 million) in output for the local sector, the MOC said, adding that this year’s attendance, a record high, reflected the event’s increasing popularity.

According to the ministry, TFW AW26 featured 12 runway shows and presentations where the creative works of designers from home and abroad were on full display, including C JEAN, #DAMUR, Yentity and Daniel Wong.

Other highlights included events that allowed designers to present their concepts and viewpoints, and a style market that adopted a magazine editor’s selection as its curatorial concept to spotlight 18 brands. The Taipei in Style matching session involved 36 local brands and 26 international buyers from France, Germany, Japan and Singapore, among other countries.

The MOC said the spring and summer edition of Taipei Fashion Week will showcase the charm of the local fashion landscape with events at Taiwan Contemporary Cultural Lab. (SFC-E)
