The 2025 Taiwan Creative Content Fest is underway through Nov. 7 in Taipei City, enhancing visibility for local cultural content.
Minister of Culture Li Yuan, Taiwan Creative Culture Agency Chairperson Sue Wang, TAICCA CEO Erica Wang, and Director of the Chilean Trade Office Fernando Mariano Schmidt Hernández were all present at the Nov. 4 opening. Domestic and foreign film and television professionals, public associations, TV stations, technology industries and cross-domain industry representatives also attended.
Li stated that creative content was a national strategic industry, and the establishment of TAICCA six years ago enabled the local film and TV industry to strengthen. He anticipated that the agency and the TCCF would create further opportunities across disciplines and technologies.
Sue Wang noted that the creative content industry is evolving rapidly and added that TCCF facilitates international pitching sessions, business meetings and forums.
The pitching sessions received over 700 project submissions from 44 countries this year, contending for 41 awards with prize money raised to NT$10.1 million (US$ 326,332). A total of 112 booths were set up by 118 exhibitors, with national pavilions shown by France and South Korea, the latter for the first time.
As part of the fest, this year’s TCCF forum, themed “Evolve Beyond Imagination,” will explore the latest developments in the content industry. Over 25 international experts are scheduled to give keynote speeches and take part in discussion panels. Janet Yang, Golden Globe-winning director and producer, also the first Asian American president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, is scheduled to deliver the closing speech. (POC-E)
