According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the second session of the “2025 Taiwan Global Pathfinders Initiative—Diplomatic Allies Inbound Track Program” drew 23 participants from six allies, namely, Belize, Guatemala, Paraguay, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis as well as St. Vincent and Grenadines.
Diplomatic corps in Taiwan including Andrea Clare Bowman of St. Vincent and Grenadines, Donya Lynex Francis of St. Kitts and Nevis, Luis Raúl Estévez López of Guatemala attended the event.
Ger noted that the launch of the initiative has instilled fresh energy into exchange between the nation and its allies, adding that President Lai Ching-te extended the training period from two weeks to one month to allow a deeper experience.
The vice minister noted that this session centered on smart agriculture and sustainable tourism. Trainees learned how to leverage Internet of Things to advance agricultural efficiency and explored how Taiwan struck a balance between ecological protection and travel industry development.
As well as attending courses, the trainees visited Lugang Mazu temple in Changhua County and Taipei 101 to experience both traditional culture and contemporary development, the MOFA concluded. (POC-E)
