“The Clouds Are Two Thousand Meters Up,” directed by Singing Chen took the the 2026 Luxembourg City Film Festival "Best Immersive Experience" award Mar. 14, demonstrating international standards of use of virtual reality as a creative medium. 
 
According to the Ministry of Culture, the work is adapted from author Wu Ming-yi’s short story of the same name and also won the 82nd Venice International Film Festival Immersive category grand prize in Sept. 2025.
 
With support from MOC’s Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris, Chen attended the festival opening and an Immersive Day event Mar. 5, in which she held a conversation with Jordana Leigh, vice president of artistic programming at New York City’s Lincoln Center. Chen outlined the inspirational nature of Wu’s writing and her experimental creative process using new media technology.
 
Chen Hung-hsin, MOC’s Taiwan Cultural center in Paris director, noted that in recent years Luxembourg has actively encouraged international media collaboration and anticipated continued exchange and cooperation.
 
“The Clouds Are Two Thousand Meters Up” is being screened through Mar. 22 at the Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art in Luxembourg City. (POC-E)
