Putin again calls for Peace Talks, Zelensky unconcerned

MOSCOW, September 30: Russia is ready to resume negotiations with Ukraine, but will not discuss the choice of the people of Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson region: they have become Russians once and for all, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday during the ceremony of accession of four new regions to the country.

Moscow, as the Russian leader emphasized, will defend its new territories “with all available forces and means,” and the West has no moral right to question the results of the referendums in Donbass and the liberated territories. Putin spent most of his speech criticizing Western policy, directly accusing the “Anglo-Saxons” of orchestrating the Nord Streams bombing and mentioning that the US had “set a precedent” for the use of nuclear weapons.

In new regions

Residents of Donbas, as well as Zaporozhye and Kherson regions “made their choice, an unequivocal choice”: “People living in Luhansk and Donetsk, as well as in Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, became our citizens. Forever .”

“We will defend our country with all the forces and means at our disposal and we will do everything to ensure the safe life of our citizens. This is the great liberation mission of our people.”

Russia will do everything to make the residents of these regions feel the support of the whole country: “We will certainly restore destroyed cities and villages, houses, schools, hospitals, theaters and museums. We will restore and develop industrial enterprises, factories, infrastructure, social and pension systems, health and education.”

About peace negotiations with Kyiv

“We call on the Kyiv regime to immediately cease fire, all hostilities, stop the war it launched in 2014 and return to the negotiating table.”

Moscow does not intend to discuss the status of its new regions at these meetings: “The current Kyiv authorities must treat this free expression of the will of the people with respect and in no other way. This can only be the way to peace.” “We will not discuss the election of people in Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, it was made. Russia will not betray it.’

The West has “no moral right” to evaluate the results of referendums or “even talk about freedom and democracy”: “It does not and never has.”

Confronting the West

The West is ready to “go beyond everything” to preserve its “neo-colonial system” that allows it to “plunder the world” and “collect tribute from humanity.” The dictatorship of the elites is directed against its own people and acquires “features <…> of straightforward Satanism”.

Western countries want to make Russia a colony, and the real reasons for the hybrid war waged against it are “greed and the intention to retain unlimited power”: “They don’t need Russia at all, but we do. the situation around Ukraine, they just basically unmasked themselves and showed their true selves”.

The West now needs to break Russia at all costs, but it is a great power that will not live by its “manipulated, false rules” and will fight for a “just and free future”. The collapse of Western hegemony is irreversible, a “liberating anti-colonial movement” is developing in various countries and societies: “It will never be the same again.”

Nord Stream State of Emergency

Western countries are behind the state of emergency on Nord Streams: “Sanctions are not enough for the Anglo-Saxons. They resorted to sabotage, it’s unbelievable, but it’s true, they organized explosions on the international gas pipelines Nord Stream, which runs along the bottom of the Baltic Sea. In fact, they started destroying pan-European energy infrastructure.”

About the nuclear precedent

“The US is the only country in the world that used nuclear weapons twice and destroyed the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. By the way, they set a precedent.”

About the global crisis

Western elites will not seek constructive solutions to the global food and energy crisis of their own making, but will instead “shift the blame back to Russia”: “Lying again”.

Only real values can overcome the crisis: “No one can be warmed by inflated capitalizations, because energy is needed. <…> You can’t feed anyone with paper money, we need food.”

The grain agreement concluded in Istanbul is “another fraud and outright fraud” because only five percent of the food exported from Ukraine went to the poorest countries.

On the restoration of the Soviet Union

The fall of the USSR, against the direct will of the majority of its inhabitants, turned into a national disaster, which Moscow, however, does not want to renew: “The Soviet Union no longer exists, the past cannot be recovered. And we do not need Russia today either, we do not strive for it.”
